Two others, both criminals, were led out to be executed with him. When they came to a place called The Skull, they nailed him to the cross. Broken Hallelujahs A Poem

Socked feet skimping
On the creaky floor imping

To raise the shade
Meet the morning Our Lord made

His moon who lingers
Against the morning embers

The promise of hope!
He’s here to steady the boat

When the day’s silence awakens
By man-made noise and restless tokens

Reaching away from Heaven for the cure
Swept in evil currents demure

Save them, Father, they know not what they do
For the broken hallelujahs are praise to You, too.
